- Alipes is a slipper studied for patients with rheumatic foot who suffer from mild joint pain and who have small deformities and for the prevention in 0-1 degree of diabetic foot (even in the presence of neuropates).Flexible biomechanical sole provides walking stability and balance. During the stage phase, the joints of the foot are protected and the pressures are redistributed correctly, helping to reduce the risk of falling.
- The 20mm heel supports physiological posture and natural walking. The self-modeling and seamless upper in the friction zones forms to the shape of the foot, comfortably accommodating possible deformations such as hallux valgus or hammer toes, avoiding dangerous and painful friction, providing maximum comfort even in bursitis, gout and callus.
- The double velcro closure allows you to fully open the front of the slipper and adjust the inner volume according to your needs (swollen or hedematous feet). The slipper is provided for the insertion of a finished or custom sole.
- Designed for the insertion of a ready-made or bespoke insole.

In the context of chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes, forefoot deformities are a common consequence. The triangular forefoot, characterized by hallux valgus and varus of the fifth toe in rheumatoid arthritis, and hallux valgus and hammer toes in the diabetic foot due to diabetic neuropathy, are recurrent problems. Bony prominences may cause pressure and, initially, skin redness followed by pain and, in severe cases, ulceration.
In addition to drug therapy, appropriate footwear represents a conservative treatment. The ALIPES Podartis slipper is specially designed to accommodate these deformities and allow comfortable walking. The self-modeling and breathable upper in flexpell, combined with the absence of seams in the rubbing areas, protects the foot from friction and external compression.
